Update #5.5 Hotfix #2 and Failure to Initialize Bugs
FIXES
- Failure to initialize when setting up prefs while a custom body is installed
- This is only expected to fix the problem that occurs when prefs are cleared
- Refer to segment at end of changelog for workarounds should the problem persist
- Lock ring scaling at higher resolutions should be more consistent
- Extended scroll viewport in OPTIONS > DISPLAY to not cut off the HUD Color setting
- Target AI in Combat Course now initiate properly and move again.
CHANGES
- Charged Hold weapons like the Linear Guns, Focus Laser and Rotary machinegun now have a refire cooldown while the charge has not finished decaying.
REGARDING FAILURE TO INITIALIZE
There have been multiple recent reports of the game failing to initialize properly on startup. There is no loaded mech or even sometimes mission parameters. When this happens to you, I would greatly appreciate if you sent me that session's player logs. The directory of the logs as well as the e-mail address to send them to are in the reference text file. This will help me pin down whatever is causing the problem.
In any case, try the following steps one-by-one to see if the problem is resolved, albeit temporarily:
- The menu buttons should still be accessible. Go to MECH and hit the LOAD button to refresh
- Go to OPTIONS and DEBUG and hit the CLEAR button to reset your prefs and completely reload the scene
- This will delete any saved mech loadouts as well as return your settings to the default
- Quit the game, then in the game directory, remove any FBX files inside "Walker_Data\StreamingAssets\models\bodies" and launch the game
- Delete the entire game directory and re-extract it from the .ZIP
Hopefully, one of those should work.
And again, I repeat, when something bad happens, PLEASE SEND ME THE LOGS!
