Update #8 Hotfix #2


NOTE: Internet connection flipped out on me when I was uploading the game executable and it lost the original download link. I reupped the zip but it lost the download count. Oh well...

Building on top of last update/hotfix, includes the first iteration of the DEFENSE mode during BRANCH missions. It took quite a long while and I apologize for that.

ADDED

  • DEFENSE contract
    • Selectable during BRANCH missions
    • Prevent enemies from capturing supplies
    • The displayed reward for the contract is 1000AU across all difficulties because it is multiplied by how many targets survive until the end
      • EASY (2 targets) pays out 2000AU
      • MEDIUM (3 targets) pays out 3000AU
      • HARD (4 targets) pays out 4000AU
  • UI element for showing the status of DEFENSE targets
    • In the near future, will also be applied to other objectives
      •  During SKIRMISH contracts,  will show a bar for % of enemies destroyed, etc


CHANGED

  • Turrets in DESTRUCTION contracts will only spawn on top of intersections or roads
    • They won't spawn in cubbies surrounded by buildings anymore for example

Will probably work on adding feedback to the DEFENSE mission for a bit. Maybe have labels for the targets floating in the UI or have them show up on the map like the turrets. On the way is the Rally Point rework so you'll be able to call in repairs when you want at the cost of some score.
