Update #5.5


Completing features in the last update and adding in a couple more

ADDED

  • Object pooling applied to enemies
    • All enemies are pre-spawned and stored away before the mission begins
    • Would definitely love feedback on whether it affects performance significantly, especially stuttering, when spawning new enemies
  • Added a rudimentary text box for mech part descriptions in the garage
    • Description updates when you mouse over the name of a part or change parts
    • Current copy is quite rough and inconsistently written
    • Will try to expand this to weapons in the future

  • Edge screen effect intensity can now be controlled with a slider in the DISPLAY options


FIXED

  • Trees receiving the wrong shaded normals

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Target lock graphics may sometimes bug out on newly spawned enemies.
    • Still trying to figure out what's causing it
  • Custom chassis will not have any part descriptions
  • Fighters do not spawn in DEMO mode
  • Garage dummy does not preview special weapon animations (two-handed, shoulder-fired)
